Ranch of Cherry Creek ...

raise and show Arabians, Half-Arabians and Quarter Horses in Reining, Working Cowhorse and Cutting and we have recently undergone some major changes. Steve Grove has added a second ranch in Wessington Springs, South Dakota in addition to the already established one in Centennial, Colorado. Don and Kamber Ulmer have now moved to this new facility where Don is the head trainer.

Don Ulmer has been showing for over 30 years. He has won 20 National Championships, sixteen Reserve National Championships, fifty plus Top Tens and is also an international clinician.

Kamber Ulmer, Don's wife, has been involved with Arabian horses since the age of ten. She has shown in cutting, reining, working cowhorse, english, hunter pleasure and hunter jumpers.

Don and Kamber's daughter Elise has been riding since before she could walk. She has shown in a variety of events - reining, working cowhorse, hunter, english and western pleasure. In 2003 she won the Youth National Championship in Freestyle Reining riding Gontyka, along with 4 Top Tens . In 2005 she was the Canadian Reserve National Champion Open Reining again riding Gontyka and Top 10 Open Reining riding Cashmere MA. 2006 was also a great year for her as she won Reserve National Champion Half Arab Reining Futurity riding Play in Color, Top 10 Reining Futurity, USEF Young Rider Qualifier and won money in the NRCHA.
